Heart of Innermost Light can be good for a few subclasses, but the range that the hammer gives is very good. I recommend this build if you like running in and punching enemies. Having the ability to rapidly throw the hammer, run in and punch and getting more kills with the Monte Carlo and the one-two-punch shotgun made my time in the Seraph Towers a good laugh. Collect some Warmind Cells if you can to boost melee energyīuilds can be pretty subjective, but I found this one fun.Throw in a one-two-punch kill or two with the shotty to increase melee damage.Reduce the melee cool-down with Monte Carlo kills.Follow up the hammer strike with a grenade which will be boosted by Overflowing light.Stack Roaring Flames by getting kills with your hammer, and go and pick it up.Once you have all the parts of the build, head into your favourite PVE activity and give it a go. Resilience – Increases the amount of damage you can take before you die.Strength of Rasputin – Collecting Warmind Cell grants you melee energy.If it’s a heavy weapon like I have here, then you’re likely to clear the area. Swashbuckler is optional really on this build, but if you’re getting melee skills then this can get you out of some tight spots if you run in, smash a few enemies with some melee’s and then unload your swashbuckler weapon. I’ve got a roll of Interference VI, a heavy grenade launcher. This weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kill with this weapon. This one is another perk that synergises well with this build, as shotgun shots are going to bolster the melee damage. I’ve got a nice Last Man Standing which you can get from the Reckoning and this one goes in the Energy slot, allowing me to pair this with Monte Carlo. Hitting an enemy with every pellet in a shot increases melee damage for a short duration. If you also go and pick it up then you’ll get some health back. In this case, it’s our hammer, so you’ll be throwing that a lot. Monte Carlo Method is a great perk to combine with melee builds as it reduces the melee cooldown, allowing you to get back that ability nice and fast. Markov Chain – This weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kills with this weapon. Monte Carlo Method – Dealing damage with this weapon reduces your melee cooldown and grants a chance to fully charge your melee ability with each kill. With the faster regen of melees, this means you’re going to get your hammer back fast, and combined with the Monte Carlo you’re going to be throwing the hammer all day. It also comes with increased resilience which increases the amount of damage you can take before dying. ![]() This exotic is great and makes your melee and grenade game strong. What I tend to do is run in, throw my mini hammer and follow that up with a grenade, which has now been empowered due to Overflowing Light. We’re going to be using the main perk here, Overflowing Light, as using an ability empowers the other abilities. Plasteel Reinforcement Mod – Increased Resilience. Empowered means abilities have faster regen, melees and grenades do more damage, and Barricades have more hit points. Overflowing Light – Using an ability (grenade, melee, or Barricade) empowers the other two abilities. This is going to be great in Seraph Tower events for getting those enemies off your plate. Picking up the hammer gets back some health too, which is going to come in handy when you’re surrounded by enemies.īurning Maul is also great for clearing a ton of enemies when you swing the hammer around like an Olympian. ![]() That means throwing our little deadly hammer and building up those stacks. Tireless Warrior – After hitting an enemy with your Throwing Hammer, picking up the hammer triggers health regeneration.īurning Maul – Summon a flaming maul and crush enemies with the force of a quake.Īs this build is focused on melee damage, we’re going to be wanting to get that Roaring Flames buff with solar ability kills. Roaring Flames – Kills with your solar abilities increase those abilities’ damage. After throwing it, picking up the hammer fully recharges your melee ability. Throwing Hammer – Throw a hammer from a distance.
